The Bloj Family

RASNOV, ROMANIA

Being in contact with local Romanian churches has allowed us the opportunity to find the Bloj family. Gelu and his wife Lacramioara, together with their five children, live in Rasnov, a small town in the mountainous area of central Romania. Gelu supported his family by harvesting timber for firewood using a horse-drawn wagon. Recently he became ill and ended up being paralyzed. Local doctors gave him no hope of recovery. Gelu went to church in a wheelchair and prayed that God would heal him. As the congregation prayed over him, Gelu stood up and began to walk! His condition is improving but he is still unable to work. Their 15-year-old son is trying to run his father’s business but the family is struggling. This family of seven is in desperate need of housing before the snowfalls. Fortunately, we have started construction of their new home but we are in a race to finish it before the cold winter arrives. The family has been temporarily located in an unfinished brick building on the property and the demolition of their old house is in progress. With the generous help of others, we have been able to build the concrete foundation of their new home but are still looking for aid to finish the project. Your generous contributions will impact this family and others for generations!

*Update: Thanks to our generous donors, we were able to complete the Gelu home before the first snow fell.  God truly blessed this family through our hard work and the generosity of others! Thank you!
