Why Romania?
God sent us to serve in Romania for good reason, there is a great need there. Currently Romania is the second poorest country in the EU. The Romanian revolution put an end to Communist rule in 1989. Overnight, state owned factories throughout the country closed. It took years for free enterprise to take over, the cities began to thrive but many in the rural areas were left behind.
When I visited there for the first time in 2017, I was taken back by the breathtaking beauty of the countryside. It looked like a slice of Bavaria with its snow covered mountains and ski resorts. I learned quickly there is no middle class here; while the cities are modern, just a few miles away, people live in abject poverty. I saw farmers with no modern machinery, cutting alfalfa by hand and loading it onto horse drawn wagons.
There are few social programs here to provide a safety net for those who cannot help themselves. Sexual exploitation and human trafficking is rampant in the poor villages. Teenagers are openly recruited under the false premise of being trained for high paying jobs in other countries. They leave home hoping to earn money for their families and are often never seen again. Beautiful Romanian children are prized in other countries for the sex trade.
Our mission is to give a helping hand to those that need it and to share the message of Jesus to give them hope. Christians following in Jesus’s footsteps and helping others will permanently change this country. Please considering helping this great effort.

“We organized a tent revival outside Brasov, Romania in May 2017. In just three days, over 5,000 people attended and 380 people accepted Jesus and were baptized.”
